Here's rqcamd-0.40:

Ok, the MAP 22 fix is a little late (yes, it freezes occasionally) --most likely this next wednesday we'll be faced with a new MECM. However, this past week i've been working on something that some of you will like:


12/12/2007 v0.40
- Finally, i have added the ability to tune to another channel while recording another on the same
transponder. I had to rewrite A LOT stuff, so please report if you see any weirdness.

- Fixed a bug that caused keys to be rewritten the first time the emu was run, even if they
had not changed. Also, this same bug caused video to not come in after a key roll until
the emu was restarted. I broke this on v0.37 --

- The rqcamd.conf file is now mandatory. The emu won't start if it is not present at /var/bin or
/var/keys

- Added MAP 22 processing and timing. This fixes PPV/Adult channels. Again, credit is for
NooneImportant and the sasc-ng project.

A new update from the Rqcamd group. Please note that BEV is not fixed with this release. The big change is that the library files libssl.so and libcrypto.so are no longer required.

These were required for SSL encryption on Feynman. For the time being i'm abandoning the
Feynman protocol. I have not been able to make it work with NewCS and don't want to invest any
more time on it. (I have compiled the binaries without the protocol, but if anyone wants to give
it a shot, the code's there, the SSL session is negotiated successfully but NewCS segfaults on
the login packet).

Also, i've realized that its somewhat troublesome to make rqcamd work with these dependencies
due to different library versions on current images.

- Sources included.
Use "make no_feynman" to compile without Feynman protocol and hence no library dependencies.
Use "make" to compile with Feynman protocol and library dependencies.

- BEV still down on this release.

- Added capability to record and play Nagra2 stream files (.n2stream files). This feature allows
to record all pertinent data from the stream so it can be later replayed "offline" by the
emulator. First, configure the appropriate path for the stream file to be written to (see the
rqcamd.conf file for details). To replay the stream file after it has been recorded, use the
rqcamd command-line parameters. Type "rqcamd -help" to view the syntax.

- Added console log broadcasting to tcp clients. This allows to monitor the console logs remotely
by connecting to port 666 (this is the default, it can be changed or disabled in the config
file).

- The above features WON'T get you TV, however, they are good tools for debugging/reverse
engineering the stream.

- Added support for some provider's NDS cards *on CS mode*. No, this is not related to "Dave".
I'll let you figure out which providers are supported.

- Fixed a tiny bug in the MAP core class that caused little endian versions of the emu to generate invalid CW's. (I will try to test all platforms in the future before releasing). This fix is specifically for the MIPS (DM7025) version. If your 0.72 is working ok on your DM500/600/70x0, you need not upgrade.

- ATTENTION: I noticed that there is very occasional freezing *ON THE MIPS VERSION ONLY*.
Somehow this problem has crept up again. This is not related to MECM's, but appears to be a bug in the demux hardware device drivers for at least the DM7025. I'll keep working on it to see the matter resolved.

- Added "softcam sharing" capabilities. Only newcamd protocol is
supported at the moment. This opens many interesting posibilities,
including:

Run rqcamd in any of the supported platforms (ppc, mips, x86) and

* Use rqcamd's softcam from any newcamd protocol capable client,
such as: Emunation (Win32 DVB PCI), vdr-sc/sasc-ng (Linux DVB PCI).

* Run a rqcamd softcam server in a local network and share the softcam
among any combination of boxes including other supported boxes
running rqcamd. In this setup, if needed, only the server would have
to be updated on each ECM.

NOTE: The softcam servers are disabled by default. Review the new
parameters in the provider sections of the configuration file to enable
and configure them (each provider can run a separate instance of the
softcam server).

NOTE: The parameters have been added to the webif, however, to use this
new feature, you *must* use the configuration file included in this
release.
